Functions

Without prejudice to the competence of other bodies, it shall exercise the following functions:

• The implementation of the principle of budgetary stability and of the European and national fiscal governance frameworks.
• The compilation of government balance forecasts in national accounting terms.
• Analysis of the economic and budgetary impact of state public sector action.
• Analysis and forecasting of the impact of the economic situation on public revenue and expenditure.
• Liaising with national and international bodies, entities and forums on public balance forecasts.
