Gender impact report

Order HFP/641/2020 of 14 June, which lays down the rules for drawing up the General State Budget for 2021, establishes in Article 7(6) in relation to the Gender Impact Report that:

The Gender Impact Report will consist of three main chapters referring to Reality, Representation and Resources-Results.

The Reality section will be carried out in collaboration with the National Institute of Statistics, working on the most relevant indicators in order to make a diagnosis of the reality of gender in Spanish society. The second section, on Representation, will analyse the situation and representation of women and men in the General State Administration. Lastly, the Resources-Results section will be made up of the reports that the ministerial departments send to the State Secretariat for Budgets and Expenditure analysing the gender impact of their spending programmes, in the terms established for this purpose by the aforementioned State Secretariat.

A working group made up of representatives from the Ministry of Equality, the State Secretariat for Budgets and Expenditure, the Directorate General for Budgets and the Directorate General for Personnel Costs will be set up to prepare the final draft of the Gender Impact Report, which will accompany the preliminary draft of the General State Budget.

The report presents the analysis of the gender impact of the expenditure programmes of the General State Budget Draft Bill for 2021, prepared using information provided by ministerial departments.
