Functions

• Recognising, managing and proposing the payment of pensions under the State Pensions System and of those set out in special legislation related to the Civil War, and of other benefits, compensations, aid, and advances that fall under its authority, as well as performing the function of public notification and assistance.
• Analysing, planning, quantifying, and monitoring the credits included in Section 07 of the State Expenditure Budget, as well as any others assigned to it related to social benefits.
• The resolution of appeals filed against agreements in the Civil Service and the functions of information and customer service.

The functions of the Sub-Directorate General for Civil Service Management, which until now reported to the Directorate General for Personnel Costs, will continue to be exercised under the same terms until 6 October 2020, in compliance with the provisions of the fourth additional provision and the second transitional provision of Royal Decree 497/2020, of 28 April, which develops the basic organisational structure of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
