The 2030 Agenda, signed at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015 by 193 countries, represents the international commitment to address the social, economic and environmental challenges of globalisation through the achievement of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Article 37.2 d) of the General Budget Law establishes that the Report on the alignment of the General State Budget with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda must accompany the Draft State Budget when it is submitted to Parliament.
For its part, Ministerial Order HAC/669/2021, of 25 June, which lays down the rules for the preparation of the General State Budget for 2022, is committed to further strengthening the incorporation of cross-cutting analyses of the Budget. It therefore establishes, in article 7.8, that the reports submitted by ministerial departments analysing the contribution of spending programmes to the Sustainable Development Goals will constitute the basis for the formulation of the Report on the alignment of the General State Budget with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The current report presents an analysis of the alignment of the 2022 General State Budget with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, as well as its main results.
